Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Transition Instructions
Your cat may not like new litter, so go slow. Mix the new litter in with the old in a ratio of about 1/3 new to 2/3 old. Increase the new litter gradually until you have a total switch-over.

Instructions

• Start with a clean, dry litter box. Fill with 2 - 4 inches of litter. Use a little more if you have multiple cats using the box.
• Scoop out the clumps every day and dispose of them in your regular trash.
• Replace litter as you go. For maximum freshness, replace what you scoop out of the box. Try to keep about the same amount in the litter box at all times.

Litter lasts about 30 days under normal circumstances. If you have more cats, you will probably want to replace your litter more frequently to better control odors. Your cat's reaction to the litter box is also a good indicator that it is time for the litter to go out.

• Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.
